We really enjoyed our Summer picnic outside! Although it was still very warm we managed to find a little bit of shade in our outdoor area to enjoy our picnic. Some children enjoyed their lunch box from home and others enjoyed their fish, chips, mushy peas and ice cream cones (although, not all at the same time!). Have a look at the photos below to see how delicious the food looked…
A MASSIVE thank you to all the grown-ups who attended the ‘Get Physical’ workshop with their children! We had lots of fun, both inside and outside, by trying out lots of different activities which will help us to get ourselves more active! We hope you found it useful and if you would like any more information, just ask your child’s class teacher!
Have a look at the photos to see how much fun we had at the workshop…
A BIG well done to all the children and parents who kept their ‘teeth brushing diary’ up to date!

Well done to the children who completed the half term challenge at home!
To celebrate the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle we came to Nursery dressed in our finest clothes! We also made crowns so we could become a Prince or a Princess for the day too! At lunch time we had a picnic outside to celebrate…we had lots of fun!
Take a look at our little Princes and Princesses below…
Rother Valley Visit
Thank you to all the children, parents and grandparents for attending our Rother Valley Visit and their excellent participation! We had so much fun doing ‘pond dipping’ and ‘minibeast hunt’ led by the Rother Valley Rangers. We also loved our ‘miniature train ride’, ‘nature hunts’ and ‘feeding the ducks’. Thanks again to the children for their brilliant behaviour!
Remember to keep your tooth brushing diary up to date!
Despite all the changes in weather recently we have still managed to enjoy the outdoors. Below are some photos from our Welly Fun! sessions. As our theme this term is ‘Old MacDonald had a Farm’ we decided to make ducks in duck ponds using natural materials such as mud, sticks, leaves and water. We also played ‘duck, duck, goose’ to help us to learn how to safely move around the ‘fire circle’.

Well done to the children who took part in the Easter holiday challenge and shared it with us via 2BAP or by bringing their creation into FS1 to show us!
Thank you for all your donations to Sport Relief! We had lots of fun wearing our sports clothes and running lots of laps around the playground to help raise money!
We had lots of fun wearing our Easter bonnets on the stage for our Easter bonnet parade! The children, and the bonnets, looked fantastic! Everyone had clearly worked so hard – well done! We had everything from ‘Minion Rabbits’ to ‘dinosaur scenes’ to ‘Easter egg baskets’ to ‘light up bonnets’ which shows how creative you all are! A big thumbs up to everyone and especially Ben and Charlie who won the Easter bonnet parade!
A MASSIVE thank you to everyone who bought a ticket for our Easter egg raffle. We raised £105 which will go towards new resources in the Foundation Stage. And a BIG thank you to everyone who kindly donated Easter eggs for us to raffle off as prizes – this includes children, Sainsbury’s (Crystal Peaks), Morrison’s (Halfway), Iceland (Crystal Peaks) and Co-op (Killamarsh). Here are the FS1 winners…
Lots of Easter fun going on in the early years on the last week of term! Here are the children making chocolate cornflake buns to go in their Easter baskets…yum, yum, yum!
The children enjoyed World Book Day 2018 by dressing up as their favourite book character, bringing a prop from one of their favourite books or bringing their favourite story to school! They all looked fantastic and enjoyed celebrating their love for books!
Enjoying our new mud kitchen and sand pit after all the snowy weather!

Thank you all for your donations towards the school crossing patrol on non uniform day. In FS1 and FS2 we raised £38.10 !
Happy Pancake Day! We topped our pancakes with syrup, jam or lemon juice…they were delicious!
Thank you all for your generous donations towards Children’s Heart Surgery fund. Here are the children in their red clothes to help raise awareness.
We thoroughly enjoyed our week about goldilocks. We especially enjoyed making porridge…our porridge was just right!
We had a lesson all about hand washing. We talked about how to get rid of the germs by washing our hands correctly. We used a special gel and a uv lamp to see where we needed to wash. Some of us were really good at washing them correctly.
